The Story
The FrescoLink project was born in Astoria Queens, New York ❤️🗽🏙️🍎🚕🍕.
Our creator spent a significant amount of time looking for a job and applying to postings. During this process, he had to constantly share his personal phone number and email address. Because of this, he became a victim of spam calls, and his personal data ended up in advertising and scam databases.
Around the same time, he started selling items online on sites like Craigslist. He needed a communication system to quickly receive messages from buyers without giving out his phone number or email. Occasionally, he also wanted to post on Instagram or other social networks to interact with people, but again, he didn't want to share his personal contact information.
He started researching but couldn't find anything that helped. WhatsApp requires an account tied to your real number. Other services are entirely associated with your number, email, or force both parties to download an app and go through a tedious sign-up process just to send a simple message.
He wanted something simple, as simple as handing someone your phone number, but entirely safe. From that idea, FrescoLink was born.
